Model Ordinances

Due to a surge in proposals to build data centers many municipalities and organizations in Pennsylvania have created either actual zoning ordinances or model zoning ordinances to regulate them. We are trying to maintain a repository of links to these to make it easier for communities and townships in Perry County to develop their own data center ordinances.

York County provides a model ordinance that is designed to be changed for the needs of specific municipalities. It addresses things like zoning district placement, site requirements and environmental impacts.
